“The process of creating a mosaic is a humbling experience. It is an art form for everyone. It represents a collaboration between design and material. It is frustrating at times, challenging, and ridiculously rewarding. My favorite work starts with one piece, no plan, and grows from there. I began making mosaics in 2001, after spending the majority of my life immersed in realism and nature. Mosaic pulled me in and gave all of my broken pieces a purpose. After many successful and unsuccessful projects, I began sharing my knowledge with my community. I have had the privilege of teaching countless people the art of mosaic. I can’t think of anything more important than teaching others to express themselves creatively.”
